The oldest one in the book is, my kids don’t need a nap so they will go to bed earlier at night. Eating, cleaning up the kids, cleaning up the house, licensing requirements, and children’s developmental needs. There are some non-negotiables when building a routine for a home daycare. But don’t forget to always take care of yourself so you can take care of others! There was no help for home daycare providers back then. I wish resources like these ladies have were available when I started. I have been running a successful home daycare for over 25 years, so I KNOW kids are unpredictable and days are too. Also, with the partnership of Community Education and LCWM Schools, many Fit Kids are able to attend dance, basketball camp, volleyball camp, art classes and the LCWM after school program due to the ease of transportation. This is a great resource for parents and students, who have busy schedules and extracurricular activities to attend outside of Fit Kids. Some of the activities that we participate in include: volunteering, health lessons, kid fitness classes, swimming, swimming lessons, field trips, picnics, crafts, cooperative games and much more! During both our school and summer programs, the Fit Kids instructors take time to tutor each student as well as help them with homework or reading. Daily activities call attention to important social and intellectual skills to promote individual growth. Fit Kids is a fun, openly structured recreation program for children ages 5-12 years.
